Grant Evaluation Officer

The focus of this role will revolve around implementing strategies for evaluating programs funded by the JCF. The Grant and Evaluation Officer will work in a cooperative fashion with JCF colleagues, volunteers, and grantees.

Responsibilities:

  • Helping evaluate new projects by creating Logic Models or Theory of Change schemas;
  • Identifying KPIs such as success indicators for programs;
  • Creating an evaluation strategy for programs that employs rigorous research methods, including effective sampling derivation;
  • Performing statistical analyses;
  • Writing detailed reports;
  • Able to translate complex concepts into understandable data, to allow stakeholders to have a firm understanding of the evaluation process
  • Presenting findings to the Allocation Board of JCF

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are required
  • Strong knowledge of research and evaluation methodology
  • Understanding of basic statistics and analysis is needed
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Previous research experience within a Jewish Community organization is an asset (extra bonus if it involves Jewish identity building)
  • Knowledge of online survey building software
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Knowledge of statistical software is an asset
