Howard received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University in 1975 and graduated from McGill University in 1979 with a Chartered Accounting degree. In 1996, he added the Certified Financial Planner designation and in 2001 he became a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Quebec. Howard has specialized in tax for over 30 years, most recently as the senior tax partner at Collins Barrow (Montreal) LLP. Currently Howard provides consulting services to Collins Barrow (Montreal) LLP and acts as a Consultant Philanthropic Planning for the Jewish Community Foundation.
