Mécénat Musica
Program
Mécénat Musica is a cultural program by donors for donors.

Mécénat Musica encourages individuals to make an in-perpetuity donation of $25,000 to a cultural organization that is important to them while philanthropic families are encouraged to match these individuals’ donations with donations of $250,000 or $2,500,000.
The program supports donors to make use of the once-in-a-lifetime tax credit available in Quebec for large cultural donations. This tax credit can mean that an individual’s net cost of a $25,000 cash donation could be as low as $5,425.
The JCF supports cultural organizations to establish permanent endowment funds and then build their capital with donations, matching funding from Fondation Mécénat Musica and its partners, and the government.
As of December 2024, the JCF has 26 individual endowment funds for cultural organizations across Quebec and, since the inception of the program in 2019, more than $36 million has been deposited in these funds in support of these organizations. For more information on the matching program, please visit Mécénat Musica.
