Professional Development Seminar
Clients want their advisors to discuss their giving values in addition to technical financial considerations and feel these conversations strengthen the client relationship. The seminar provides professional enrichment and updates on planned giving tools they can use for their clients.
The Annual Professional Development Seminar, usually held in June, is one of the Foundation’s continuing services to professional practitioners in the fields of tax and estate planning.
The 2016 seminar program included updates on new rules regarding trusts; implications of new tax rates; cross-border issues and a smart philanthropy‐charitable gift planning update.
Certificates of honor are awarded to those professionals whose successful efforts encouraged bequests and gifts to the Foundation, thereby helping to ensure the future of our community.
