Getting Started

The Jewish Community Foundation of Montreal (JCF) is pleased to announce a new online system designed to better align with our highest priority: supporting you on your philanthropic journey. We are excited to debut our new Fund Advisor Portal, which offers a more efficient and intuitive platform for your grant making and fund management.

The new portal went live on March 30, 2023. On that date, authorized contacts (Fund Advisors) for funds of the JCF received an e-mail with instructions on how to create a custom password. If you are an authorized Fund Advisor and did not receive that email, please check your spam or junk e-mail folder. Please delete that automated email once you have successfully completed this process. The link contained in the email should only be used once to establish your initial password.

Our staff has worked diligently to migrate our database and is excited about its ease-of-use and functionality, but we know that any change can be challenging to navigate. As you explore the Fund Advisor Portal, we anticipate that you may still have questions or need assistance, and we are here for you. To better serve you and to provide the latest information, we have developed a quick-reference guide and additional resources, which can be found below, to support your use of the Fund Advisor Portal.

Step 1

Establish your password: You will receive an email from [email protected], with “The Jewish Community Foundation of Montreal” referenced in the email’s subject line. Follow the instructions to create a password for your account. Take note of your username (which is your email address) and password as you complete this process.

Step 2

Access the Fund Advisor Portal: To access the portal at any time, simply go to www.jcfmontreal.org and click “Fund Advisor Portal” in the upper right-hand corner of the homepage. Enter your username and password, and then select the fund you’d like to review.

Step 3

Take a look around: The main screen will provide an at-a-glance summary of the fund you chose. You will also see the current fund balance as well as the available to spend balance, updated in real-time. The current Fund Advisors will be indicated just below these balances. It is important to note that each person listed as a Fund Advisor will have similar access to the Fund Advisor Portal.

Step 4

Use the Fund Advisor Portal: Log in to check the balance of your fund, recommend a grant, track contributions and disbursements made from your fund, and access fund statements.
